Is it a billion or millions? Does it matter? Filipino Jun Lao has posted video of his encounter with the massive swarms of fish while on a tour at Pescador Island in the Philippines. In the video he and his diving buddies can be seen swimming in and out of thick clouds of fish, which rapidly twitch and change direction in unison.

    Wow.. That's so cool...
What I don't understand is how can you not tell wheter your diving or going up? I get that it was confusing because of so many fish but to mistake up from
    Down?

In the direction of "up" there's light, and down is dark.

That's awesome. Just watch the bubbles and see which way they go.

You can tell what direction you are in when your under water... bubbles go up and you can physically feel which way you are.

    That would be AWESOMENESS!!!

We are visual creatures for the most part, water is an alien environment for us where gravity is less obvious to our actions and greatly dampens our sense of direction, the divers admitted to being overwhelmed by the experience, and from inside the school light would be greatly diminished possibly to the point of no obvious amount of light. Under those circumstances confusion is very likely to prevail unless you have extensive experience diving.

That would be an awesome experience none the less.

But if you stop and watch your bubbles.... you'll know where "up" is. You may get confused while it was going on, but the bubbles tell no lies :)
