K well, since 48 hours ago ive had my reactor's effluent entering the system between an over/under baffle in my 'fuge. The end of the effluent tube just hovers there above the cascading water so I can monitor it's drip rate. From there it mixes with the incoming water, gets dragged under the 2nd baffle and gets pulled through a dense Cheato block, Red Grape bushes and Shaving Brush. In two days there is a trail of bright growth leading up to the overflow. This stuff is growing back almost as fast as I harvest it. I removed over a gallon of cheato from the fuge over the past 3 days. After 2 nights with the effluent its full again and the Grape's have doubled in size. CO2's some pretty crazy sht.. lol

Thanks for the tip. I hope to finally hook up my reactor early next week. I was going to run the effluent into the center portion of the sump but what you say makes perfect sense. I think that I'll try putting the effluent into the refugium side of the sump instead.

There are a few pics on my build thread but it's a new tank. I previously had reef tanks from '92 to 2000. Not too many calcium reactors around then. Most of the corals in my tank wouldn't have been found in a LFS either.
