I wish that they were not so dangerous. They are one of the nicest looking anenomes. The colors are alway great. The pretty ones are always trouble.

can we get another pic? I'm not going to sentence something to death unless I'm pretty sure of what it is, it doesn't look like an anemone at all from that pic to me though almost looks like a toadstool or something

You know I agree with Iraf, need a picture for the top. Although it does look like a majano to me. I have had one, the green and pink type in one of my tanks for almost a year now. It has grown to be an absolutely beautiful little specimen.

In that time it has spread only one time and I dispatched that one very quickly. I keep watch and if I see another I will kill it but this one will remain part of my tank.

That is actually a tulip anemone. Very pretty but still considered a nuisance.

A quick search on Google images will give you tons of good pictures to compare your critter to:

I have had 2 people who have seen it in person tell me Majano, and when I posted it here on 3 reef (many months ago) I was told it was a Majano. Anybody but you or Tangster I wouldn't be so quick to believe but since it you Amcarrig it's now a Tulip, but its still staying, LOL....

The two are often confused but if you take a good look at the image link I posted, you'll see there are differences. You'll also see a picture of a tulip anemone that's being called a majano :) I'm not sure that "tulip" is the proper common name for your anemone either but it's what I've always known it as.

Looks like a toadstool leather to me, I'd leave it until it got a little bigger...just to be sure. Toadstools are fairly easy to keep and very impressive once the get big.
