Water Warning Leak Detection Alarm - 00001 - Smarthome

I have one of these alarms sitting next to my RO container. For some reason my shutoff valve malfunctioned and it kept filling and started to overflow. I heard the alarm go off before the water could cause any damage.

Stupid leaks. I have a love-hate relationship with water.

Thought I'd share. They're cheap insurance. Just remember to change the batteries when you change your smoke detector batteries. The low battery alarm is so quiet you'll probably never hear it.

Very cool dude. I'm going to be getting a waterbug to hook up to my controller. If it detects water on the floor it will trigger an alarm, shut down all devices and send repeated e-mail alerts to my blackberry.

This would have been handy 4 days ago... Our automatic top off tube some how fell out of our wet dry and leaked all the top off water on the floor.. Our tank sits on carpet... I walked into the living room on with just sox on and they were soaked... Good idea for the alarm.. I am thankful that it was just the top off water..
