Okay, so far I have no takers from local aquarium folks on my build. Let's see, I have gotten one call back but even then I did not get to talk to someone. I guess my build intimidates them? Shrug?

So, plan z or whatever it is now. Now I'm gonna try and piece it out...looking for a local cabinet maker/finish carpenter to build out my previously unplanned upon canopy. That is really the thing that is holding me back as I just don't have time to build it like I had planned on. If I can get that, then the rest I think I can handle on my own.

Next, I gotta see if I can special order the size poly water storage tanks I need from a local store to see if I can avoid drop shipping charges.

Then I gotta get off my lazy ass and actually think through all the exact fittings I will need to tie it all together. Which also means I need to DECIDE how I am going to tie it all together and just go with it. I've changed my mind about 100 times so it is time to settle on a plan and roll with it.

Otherwise, thats all I go fur ya. Hope my fellow 3Reefers and well and happy!

Just an FYI, I ordered a 65 gallon tank from amazon and it was free shipping.

Thanks OFK, I'm Che king that out too.

I'm actually looking for two polyethylene tanks to use to stir RO and mix. The challenge is I have a fairly limited space so not a lot of flexibility dimensions wise. Found some, but they were like $190 bucks each, plus another $70 shipping. Ouch!

I'm still looking to see what other options are out there...

I spoke with the wood worker today to talk about details for the canopy, and I should get get a quote in a few days...

If that doesn't work, I do have a back-up plan.

Looking at lights, and damn if the light That Grim Guy bought hasn't caught my fancy! I'm sure I will change my mind about 10 more times on that though...

Just glad this is moving again, albeit slowly.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Grim's is a sweet fixture, he will do fantastic things with it no doubt.

New member Alpha8 has a fantastic fixture as well, but a tad pricey I am sure. I love those T5/LED hybrids.

Got the quote for the canopy, and that is a go. Small family business here in Frederick, real nice and I'm happy giving my business to them.

Probably be ready sometime in November. Which is perfect as it gives me time to get an electrician in her to add a circuit for the tank and gives me time to locate and install by storage and mixing tank.

Also, I've got this 18x5x15 acrylic 'fuge I have plans for...can you say ATS? or Maybe a UAS...we will see.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this bad boy too:

Pacifc Sun Products from Imagine an Ocean Pandora Hyperion S » Pacifc Sun Products from Imagine an Ocean

Yeah buddy! Things are looking up!

    Awesome.
That's one heck of a light for sure!

An ATS lit by LEDs on both sides would be the bomb too :devil1:
