Great update! Glad to see that everything is doing well and that you are making progress. The tank and stand look great. Make sure to keep us up to date :)

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I had some time this week and made progress on the plumbing.

First, standpipes for the Bean. I have two 1 1/4" drains and one 1". I am making the 1" the full siphon, in the middle of the overflow. It is about 1 inch lower than the secondary. The emergency is the farthest in the overflow and is about 3/4 of an inch above the secondary.

I also started plumbing the sump. I am still trying to figure out where to place some equipment so this is all dry fitted. Also, I am going to put in some unions as well once I finalize the layout.

    Slow and steady :)

    Arg!!!!!!

So, real life continues to find new ways to interrupt this build. Which is both good and bad.

The good first: there is a fairly good chance that I will be getting a much desired transfer back home to Colorado (oh how i've missed ye!). If it happens it could happen soon, within the next 6 to 9 months.

If it does not happen then, well we will be moving anyway as my son is out growing our little condo quickly. And let's face it, I need more room for my tank, don't I?

Sooooooo, this build thread has come to a rather anticlimactic end. I hereby officially request our distinguished mods to close this puppy down.

Not to fret 3Reefers! I gotta get my fix and so in the meantime I will be running my quarantine tank as a display--a little 18 gallon cube--for a fun little something to pass the time. It is nearly ready to do and in fact I've worked out the 'scape and I will be getting the rock a curing this weekend.

It will be coming to a build thread near you in the next few weeks…

(Okay, so I am trying to be excited going from a 90 gallon to an 18 gallon, but something is better than nothing).

    Thor, out!
