Well, a while ago I read that cheato likes to have some pretty water turbulence but flow through the fuge should be low.. Mine is about 10-15 gph.. But would adding a small powerhead to the fuge to stir up the movement in there be in any way or would it be bad, such as for my pod population?

    just curiosity here.. thanks..

bizzump...I am pondering this too. My chaeto seems to sit there and it looks like algae will grow on it. Same thing, I have 10 gph of flow going through there. It is nasty in there too.

I have never had one in my fuge, the flow of water you have should be fine, id leave it be, if it grows algea take it out and rinse it in saltwater

When I set up my fuge I plan to have a K1 in there, plus feed.

actually thats probably the flow i have, i forgot to mention i have my sump about 6 inches above my fuge so the sump pours in to the fuge and then with a 5000gph pump pumping for the fuge back into the tank i have a lot of flow with out haveing to add anything

    five-thousand gph? That's sick.

I have my flow adjusted so it is barely perceptible. My chaeto is growing like crazy.
