Hello. I recently found a good deal on a 56g column (30x18x24). Just wanting some opions on column tanks. I love the size and look of this tank. I know their are some limitations on doing a squared tank versus a long tank. Does anyone on here have a column tank? Would this size tank be hard to light for a reef (thinking LED'S)?

Which dimension is the height 4 Phish? - I assume 30 as you describe it as a column

    its just when described as 30 x 18 x 24 - that would indicate a 24 inch deep tank
which IMO is not a problem to light, and LEDS available now, would not have any issues penetrating to that depth IMO

    is the actual dimension 24 x 18 x 30 ?

I dont see any of those dimensions having an issue getting light thru them. when you say column, I think something that is greater than 30-40" deep.

Ok, I see. The 56g is not a true column. It's more or less a squared tank though. BTW, 24" is the height. I didn't think it would be too hard to light, but thought I would ask.
