I have decided it's time to add a sump to my nano setup, but I'm a fig fan of stealth. I have a 12g glass tank, which uses some fairly thin glass, so I plan on only drilling 2 holes, a primary and an emergency drain. For return, I was just going to run the PVC over of the tank frame. Considering how small a footprint this tank has I don't want a bulky box, so my idea was to cut a piece of 4-6" PVC in half lengthwise, with both drain holes drilled in the back glass vertically above each other with the primary on the bottom and the emergency above it, and employ either an external durso or stockman drain.

It would probably look like that, just centered. I think it'll work great, but wanted some opinions. And, since both drains will have screens over them, can I plumb them both together to 1 drain pipe?
