So I purchased a Naso Tang from an online store that said it would be shipped at the medium size of 4-6 in. However We received the fish and it is barely even 3in. I've had 2 Naso's prior to this slightly larger and we could never get them to eat and they passed away. This one is a pig! Eats everything given to him. Algae, Shrimp, and Flake food. He even takes on my 6 inch Purple Tang for food!

Should I complain? Or just be happy I got a Naso that Eats alot? Haha.

Personally, I'd be thankful! I'm really paranoid about ordering online, so haven't even given it a shot!

Was the price drastically different depending on size? If so, you could always tell them you're very happy with the fish and would like to keep it and maybe ask them to reimburse you the difference.

Yeah the price would be the only concern.
I personally like to get my fish as small as possible. I like to watch them grow ;)

Thats what I was thinking, The price is only $20... something or whatever. He is very different looking from the other Naso's I have purchased. He is more round from top to bottom. :s... He looks funny but cute. Ill have to pose some pics when given a chance :)

Most of our Local LFS stores carry only the basic saltwater fish... All of the fish I wanted were more hard to find for some reason. Hence the ordering online. I wish I could have used my QT Tank, but when I was adjusting it with the rock I accidently cracked the side panel and it started leaking :(! Hah and I wasnt in the mood to spend another 40$ with payday not till Friday!

    I agree.

What vendor? I know Live Aquaria is extremely good about issues like this.

I would definitely not want to return it, and they would not wan that either, but I have a feeling they will quickly grant you a refund on the difference.

The larger Naso's are hard to get to eat. If you get one of these fish it is better to start out with a young one as they adapt to the move better. I have one and it's the best fish I ever owned. I am looking to pair up my female with a male right now.

If the fish is doing well in your tank, getting along with the other tang,I would be happy with that.Maybe try for a partial refund or just forget it and not deal with that vendor again.
