Thousands invested..$10.00 stand

Greetings one and all....
Well, while sitting down this morning and browsing 3reef and have'n my coffee, I looked over at my tank and seen that the water line was showing an inch on one side only...not good. It seems as though while building a reef tank I had neglected to consider that it was sitting on a piece of painted pressboard...certainly not suited to handle the extra weight I have put on it...I'd say with the rock , fuge, skimmer, lights etc...its 300 lbs plus....so this little bitty stand was about to collapse.
So after I about had a stroke...I composed myself and turned off and removed everything and pulled about 6 gallons of water out...I was just daze from a disaster...god forbid the grand daughter may have pulled it over on her...geeezzz

So...This is what "I" got to do today...
Enjoy.

After removing everything and gently pulling it away from the wall I put the lights back on and pluged in the power heads...




Then establish footprint and base line...removed carpet.



Frame to wall....



Just building as I think it through....



Just about got it....A couple of holes for power and pumps...This just might accomadate a larger tank....Hmmmmm;D maybe 55 gallons.;D;D;D



Put down the plywood and with a little help its safely moved...what a mess!!



Pump and power all managed....with drip loops..(amcaring);D



coming along...



I'll put the shelves in and complete the sides and doors this week..and paint it so it will match and be an "L" shaped affair...tank and work station so to speak.



All seettled down and ready for there feeding...Its been a long day for them also !! Have a nice night everyone.

The filter is working out just great...its that darn motor to my fuge thats driving me nuts!! when I turn it down it starts ratteling like crazy....I'm going to replace it today...Im sure my fish are going nuts also.
