do you use threaded, slip, or a combination of thread and slip bulkheads? I need some feed back before I order these in.

Mine are thread inside slip outside. The way I have my tank plumbed I can disconnect unions on the back to move it, or if I want to adjust the loc-line, etc. inside I can unscrew, adjust / clean / replace / whatever and then re-attach.

All BH are threaded on the outside, what changes is on the inside. I personaly like to use slip on the inside. Luna

Always threaded on the outside, as outside the tank? Mine are slip outside the tank, threaded inside the tank.

No, I got them from my LFS in Tampa. Just use regular PVC glue to secure the pipe inside the BH. It has thread outside of course, but that's to screw the nut onto the BH to secure it to the tank.

    This is what I have.

Standard Threaded Bulkhead Fitting - 1 inch

"This bulkhead is threaded on the side that is flanged (where you screw in a strainer) and slip on the back side (where you can glue in a PVC pipe)."
