Just be careful when gluing. Make sure you are thorough and clean very well. Keep in mind once you glue, if there is a leak, you must replace the BH.

Just dry fit all your pvc connections first. Once everything is as you want it, then glue them and you're ready to test for leaks.

The entire trick for working with PVC is prime it well allow to dry and then glue the male and female areas to be glued and insert the male then twist 1/2 turn and hold pressure on the pipe as it will want to squirt out of the Female hub..Its been many many many yrs since i had a hub leak.. its really fun when you get to the 3" 4" 6" stuff then you better be right..12" is as large as I have ever worked with

The Bulkhead shank is not a pipe thread its a 1.1/4 straight machine thread and the ones that are threaded on the inside are standard pipe threads. Now if you ever want to use the shank thread go to the electrical Dept and get a 1.1/4 conduit F.M adapter to screw up on the shank of the B/heads . Plumbing threads are tapered the make wedges tighter in the F.M thread as it is tightened to form a lock for liquids .
