Ifkeep trying to post a link and shows up broken, and every time I try to upload a photo gallery to my profileI'm told the boards are down.
Did I read somewhere that you have to post 10 times b-4 adding pics?

How did you retrofit your red sea skimmer? I have one and am sorely dissappointed with it, especially for the 200 bones I had to shell out for it. (okinawa prices, overeager.. stupid... etc.)

No the website was hacked a couple weekends ago and the guy running it has been doing the best he can to get everything going again. It's probably gonna be a little longer before he has the mess totally cleaned up. He's been doing a great job so far though!!

BTW I'm in CO too! Which LFSs do you generally hit up?

    skimmer retro.

I depends on wich nano you have I.E. size and brand. The Oceanic version has its overflow on the right so that make it alittle trickier. First tou have to cut away about 1.5" high along most of the back of your lid, this is where I'd usually post a pic  Then you cut the skimmers intake siphon tube about 1/2" from the control valve on the intake side IMPORTANT leave at least 1/2" ,Intake side being the end that goes in the water. At home depot you'll be able to find 3/4" black flexible PVC tubing, you'll need at least 24" and a 3/4" elbow and some water proof sealant , generic should do. the 3/4" tubing should fit over the plastic intake tubing with alittle help .you may have to heat it a little and ream it open with some thing.I used a metal tool for removing stuck sprinkler heads also purchased at home depot for like $4.
now with alittle measuring you can re-route your intake anywhere you want.
And with the section of your lid cut away you can mount the skimmer right on the back of the tank and the return runs right into the bio-ball chamber.
Oh, make sure you seal the pvc well where it joins the plastic tube BUT DON'T GLUE THE ELBOW. the pvc will turn on the elbow without leaking which makes it possible to move it out of the way for maintanance without taking the whole skimmer out. hope this helps. I'll post some pics and put some in my BIO when the site is fixed.:)
