    I love ya bro, but...that ain't no pycnogonid LOL
    (the thorax is more or less oval-rectangular on those, not wide on one end and narrow on the other)

    It will be a crab of one sort or another. See his little eyes at the bottom? The pic shows him rear-upward.

    it was just a guess on my part... something to google. it's what it looked like to me from the pic.

    Ya, it does look a lot like some of the ones that show up in reef tanks, except for the shape of the thorax/carapace. The only ones I'd ever seen before I showed up on the reef sites were skinny little things that looked like colorful, aquatic versions of a Brown Recluse spider, minus the abdomen. The zoa spiders are a lot more crab-like.
