I am about 99% certain my tiger tail cuke divided... Anyone seen this here? I've found a few mentions of it on other sites, but not a lot of info on WHY they do it. Is is a stress reaction, or just what they do.... should I worry?

If it's just how the propagate their species would that make a tiger tail immortal? Do I have a 1,000,000 year old cuke in my tank? (two of them now, actually...)

    Thanks!

I would say it's fairly likely a reproduction method. They're an echinoderm, like sea stars, which also split to reproduce.
