that was literally just live rock and a few fish and it did well for a few months.... was mixed with tap water and salt at 1.024 salinity and no dosing of any kind with what you saw in it.

    Ignorance was bliss.....

equipment was a 2213 ehiem filter, 2bulb t5 48 watts, glass hood, with 2 damsels, and some diffrent things on the live rock including a sea urchin that was the size of a pice of gravel that grew to the size of a golfbal in like 2-3weeks.

used live sand and live rock with one big dry rock pice.

stuff died slowly after about 1 year, then we moved and told my wifes grandmother to add water to it as it got lower and to turn the light off. well she didnt put any water in it and left the light on the whole time I was gone, which was over a month. so when I got back to it I had about 9-8 gallons of water in it with the lights still on and about 5 lbs. of salt creep all over the tank with the water at about 102 degrees. I was ferious but both the fish lived somehow???? and everything else died...... so I cleaned everything washed the rock and rinsd the sand out and hoped everything would get better...... nedless to say that if I had put poo in one hand and hope in the other I would have had a dirty hand LOL.

LOL, you right ignorance is bliss and whole lot less expensive.

Too much knowledge is a dangerous thing in this hobby.

Your persistence paid off. Nice zoanthids.
