alright I managed to fix my cheep odyssea skimmer with a ton of silicone and a few bits of red neck ingunity ;D, and it really helped with my water clarity and the corals really seem to enjoy the beter looking water and the clowns are looking more active.

but the cleaner shrimo looks sad and just hides under his cleaning rock all day, him and the watchman goby were always sticking togther and hanging togther.

so here is my main question should I get a diffrent kind of goby or a yellow watchman?

Nice tank, sorry about the problems your having. I love the boostLED's. One thing though, that looks like a 20 high? Not a 20 long?

if you know what these critters are then how inm the world do I start the process of getting rid of them. this tank will be a revival of sorts so im going to change the sand to oolite arga max and move it to a part of the house where there is not so much sunlight on the tank.

but the real question the aspista how do I get rid of them???

Go to grocery store buy small thing of lemon juice. Go to the pharmacy ask for a small syring from a local pharmacy yes they will question you but tell them what it is for and they should sell it to you for about a buck. Now put lemon juice in syringe and inject the lemon juice right in the middle of it and should die off in 2-3 days with out killing anything else

    Time for change!!!!

well I will keep it short in Jan of this year I got the honor to go to the #1 rated police acadmey here in GA happy to say that I passed and did really well. however the tank was seriously neglected. if you look you can see the aspista LOL

plus the algea was terriable I was cleaning it out by the handful every day... I testes the water constantly and thought it had to be the nitrates and phospahtes both were zero I just couldnt figure it out.

well I decided I would just move everything inot a ten gallon that was set up right and just cut my loses. well while I was waighting for it to cycle I had a thought to the sand that was in the tank is was almost CC but a little finer so i took out about a half a cup and let it settle and tested the water.... nitrates and phosphates maxed out. I know that thats what the sand bed is for and more that when you stil it up it more than likely will release the bad crap but the more I looked and thought the algea kept spawning from the sand bed and moving up plus I wanted a better looking sand anyways so I replaced it with oolight arga-max dry sand.

so I washed it. there was a little debate on weather to or not but I have livestock and coral that needed to be put back into the tank so I washed the sand with ro water about 4 times then made some saltwater and stored it in a bucket untile I eas ready for it.

    dry no flash

    washed up really well

we also moved the tank from the kitchen to the living room while it was empty looks better and now I can watch t.v and the tank LOL

this was done in one post but took every bit of 24 hours I had to match water tempature, salt levels, add the sand watch the critters let the water settle and set up everything up.....

any ways I will also be putting up a 5 gallon sump under the tank but that will yake some time. here are more pics ::)
