    In: 162
    Before di: 58
    After di:10

I've had this since May so about 6 months.

Do I need to replace the membrane aswell? What filters do I order from spectrapure? Direct links and model # would help greatly. This is a aquafx system.

pre sediment, carbon block and di resin filter the membrane should be good to about 5000 gallons

I replace my sediment and carbon block every 12 months, membrane every 24 months and DI when ever the TDS gets above 1ppm (usually every 6 months). Filter changes can also depend on how much water you make and your water conditions of your feed water

here is a link to their monthly specials

SpectraPure - Great Deals on All your Water Management needs!

here is a list of what I use

    sediment- .2um Zetazorb
    carbon- .5um
DI- Silicabuster Super DI semi conductor grade
    Membrane- All Spectra

If your tap TDS is 162 and your RO only TDS is 58 then your membrane is way past shot.
Thats only a 64% rejection rate or removal efficiency, it should be 96-98%! Was it ever any better than that, I surely hope so.

What is your water pressure, water temperature and what is your exact measured waste ratio? Sounds like something ruined your RO membrane. It could be you are not wasting 4:1 waste to treated, have run hot or warm water through the membrane, have a cracked membrane housing so water is bypassing the membrane and not being treated or the membrane is not fully seated or sealing in the membrane housing.

Do you have more photos of the system and how it is plumbed?

While I 100% recommend Spectrapure replacements you need to find your problem and correct it before investing a bunch of money in new filters, membrane and resin only to have them go bad quickly also. You will invest somewhere between $100 and $150 in new replacements so it may be better to bite the bullet and buy a new system for $125. Your membrane should have lasted at least 18-24 months even with low end filters and 7-10 or more years with good quality replacement filters.

I just tested the ratio..something is off.

I got 2 CUPS of waste to 1/4 of RO/DI

At first it was 0 TDS with brand new filters.

    Here is the setup

With the waste ratio that high the RO membrane should have lasted longer not shorter, you have problems.

With colder water in winter months the waste ratio will usually go up but the TDS of the treated water should go down due to the water being less viscous. Sounds like you may need to start from scratch with better components or a new better thought out system.

Hmm, not really wanting to go that route but if it's the one I must take looks like I'll need to be buying RO/DI from the LFS temporarily.

    MAXPURE MPDI SYSTEM

Is that what I should go with?

Its hard to trace the lines with you long loops of tubing and not sticking with the standard color coding. Trace the line from the carbon block, through the pressure gauge and then where does it go from there?
On the end with two lines exiting the RO membrane, the one closest to the centerline of the membrane housing should be a blue tube (treated water) leading to the DI canister and the other closer to the outside edge of the housing would be the waste line which it appears like you have a very short capillary tube inserted in? I know its more expensive but Lowes and Home Depot should have Black, Blue and Yellow or Red 1/4" tubing on the shelf you can buy by the foot, sure makes it look better and much easier to troubleshoot.

I would go with the first one at the top of the page for $125. You could even use you existing DI canister and convert the system to a MaxCap dual DI clone for the cost of a MaxCap cartridge.
