How much time should I wait after setting up and cycling my tank before I start to add corals?

+1 on impatience, I know it's hard to wait on just the cycle so to tack months on after that is toughhhh.

I say if your water params are stable and you have adequate lighting you could start with easy corals like xenia, zoas, leathers, frogspawn, hardy ones that can deal with fluctuations and adapt to light.

Just make sure to not spend a ton of $ at first on anything. Go slow and get something nice but cheaper so you don't risk losing an investment.

As you tank matures you can add a lot more, just be patient and responsible with maintenence.

I say 6-8 months for any coral. One key to success is, in that time period, figure out if you need a dosing regimen to maintain Alk, Cal, Mag and PH. Also keeping nitrates under control. Learning about your tank is key to understanding parameter fluctuations and the nuances of keeping things balanced and steady.
