I've got a Coralife Digital Power Center.

Every few days, for no reason I can figure out, this thing resets. I have to retell it what day it is, fix the hour (the minutes are always right???) and reset my schedule.

What gives? bad battery back up? The plugs aren't losing power...

As an FYI I'm set to 7 days. 1. 12noon on 8pm off and the rest of the numbers are blank - i.e. --:--

It'll work for about 4 days or so and then do that. It's been happening for 2 weeks and I've had it for 4 weeks. Also it is my first timer.

I just ordered my new 4x54 + moon lights (current usa) and want this figured out before they come in (lights were 207 with shipping, FYI).

Yeah. I had the same problem with mine. .....and for no reason. It stopped when I mounted it (on the wall). So, while I still use it, when I get my new lighting array and actually want something good in it's stead, I will replace it. I just don't trust it. I read a similar post about three months ago. Same problem. If you have the receipt, I would take it back for another.

I reckon i"d also appreciate suggestions on a quality replacement as well. I do still have the receipt. It was a PetSmart purchase. . .

    How fun.

I hung it on the wall and several days later it reset again. So I took it back to PetSmart. I ordered the SunDial light with built in timer anyway, so I'm not getting another one. 8)

Check this out. It was 33.99 and I also bought a 6 dollar net. So that's 40 bucks (just keepin the numbers simple).

    I had a 10 dollar coupon. I only spent 32 with tax. Total. ;D

I returned it and they returned the whole cost of the timer + tax. Which was 36+change.

I pointed it out (I'm not a thief) and the dude told me their system doesn't account for it. :-X

So in the end, I got back more than I spent + I still have the net. I use to not like PetSmart. Now I'm thinking up creative ways to make a living :trampolin

I suddenly really like crappy coralife digital timer. :p

Why not just get simple $10 household light timers like this

Thanks for the suggestion on the simpler timer!

My lights haven't come in yet, but they have built in timers (SunDial 4x54). So I don't think I need one for anything (the moon lights are integrated and the whole light fixture has but a single power cord).

But I'm sure at some point, I'll need one for something. Thanks again!

Same thing happened to mine after 4 weeks in use. I have used EVERY single timer from Coralife and had to return them sooner or later. It got to the point that I got tired of the same chit and I bought a Aquacontroller JR and I havent looked back ever since. I should have bought one YRS ago. Luna

I have the coralife dual day/light analog timer and still no issues after 7 months.
