I know it's some sort of brittle starfish, but the ones I looked online that are reef safe have 5 legs and this one has 6. I bought a monti cap from my LFS and when I attached it to the rock I shortly found some legs sticking out. At first I thought it was a worm of some sort, but shortly I found many legs so I knew it had to be some sort of star fish. I am wondering if this guy is reef safe or should I bring him back to the LFS.

    Thanks.

These Stars can multiply by splitting.Thats seems to be the case here. You will eventually have 2.;D
Most Brittles eat detritus so it should not pose a threat.;)
