tiny particles floating in my water

    i have some type of particles floating around in my tank and idk what to do about it. does anyone have any experience w/ this? what is it? how do i get rid of it? i have a 20 gal long that i set up just over a week ago. any adive would be appreciated

    There are almost always small particles floating around in a reef tank. Is it to the point that it looks cloudy?

    from a distance it looks clear but when you get up close to the aquarium the particles become very noticeable... i wouldnt really call it cloudy

    That's pretty normal. Coral needs to eat something.

    not to sound stupid but you sure there not micro bubbles?

    Yeah, there is always a bunch of little "floaties" in your tank. I even use Purigen and the water flows through two mechanical filters in my tank and I still have "floaties". Nothing to worry about. Your tank is new also so give it some time to settle down and it will probably clear up a little after a while.
