This morning while looking at my tank, I noticed 100's of these tiny white spots. I looked closer at them and they consist of a little spec of white, and then about 5 or 6 little transparent "arms" extending from the disc. Any ideas? I tried to take some pics but my macro camera setting will not even pick the up..

They are bad if you have seahorses. However, they are rarely a problem in a reef tank. Mandarins don't eat them.

I had them over a year ago when the reef tank was started for a 2 months. have been gone since a few days ago. nothing to worry about, just clean your glass if your sick of looking at them. they will die off eventually. google the white hydroid.

    I had the same issue.

Inwall75 is spot on ;) These are the exact same critters (they look like microscopic, transparent starfish) I had in my tank a couple of months ago. I scraped most of them off and let my filter do the rest. I saw a few in the substrate, but even they eventually died off and I haven't seen one since. Your tank is going to be great. Don't forget to post some pictures later.
