without a good macro image its hard to say with certainty , But I got an explosion of tiny snails and tube worms on my glass and plastics that occured within 1st month or 2 of tank being set up (probably on the rocks as well, but harder to see them there)

I believe they are tiny non swimming jellyfish. That's what I had on my glass when I was cycling my 40 breeder, they will die off in a few days/weeks with no impact on the tank.
