    Don't do what I did today! ;D

I took my skimmer out to clean the venturi that was a bit clogged and I also cleaned my Maxi Jet that had a caked up impeller...

what I seriously fumbled on was not rinsing out the Remora itself...

when I put everything back together and turned it on, the clean pump and venturi really churned up the debris that had settled on the bottom of the Remora and it came flying out into my tank as I screamed. [smiley=uhoh.gif]

Since I had just cleaned the pump and venturi this was a double whammy. I was furious. It would have taken me 10 seconds to rinse the bottom of the skimmer out had I really thought of it.. >:(

Learn from my mistake and avoid this bonehead move!!!

Ive surely made my share. I may as well just have liveaquaria deliver 200 gallon bucket O salt every third thursday. Its not that bad but I have had a few 75% water changes that were unplanned. Im still learning to control my dosing hand. Im doing better though...hehe

    lol

if a little makes good than alot makes it better right.........not in this case!

I've done the dosing thing too. ;)

Update - My Remora is kicking butt now, I'll be sure to clean the pump and venturi more often.
