WHOHOOOOOOO!!! It works!! I had to wait till morning for the Gorilla glue to dry.

Basically, I put Gorilla Glue between the shaft and the pinwheel. And held it in the position for about 15 minutes until it was able to hold on its own and dip it in water a few times. Gorilla GLue expands (it does this faster when wet), so besides sticking to the pinwheel is fills every gap in between the shaft and the pinwheel, allowing the pinwheel to rotate along with the shaft as it's supposed to.

Put the pump back together and it worked for 2 seconds, then it stopped bubbling. So I remember what Powerman said and blew on the air intake (I had done this before without success since the pinwheel was not spinning at all) but this time, since the pinwheel was glued in the correct position on the ceramic shaft, IT WORKED!!!!

If you're having this problem where your ceramic shaft breaks at the part where it locks the pinwheel in place, this will work, but I'm sure it's a very temporary fix !!

I'm going to order a couple of shafts + Pinwheel combo from eshopps to be ready when it breaks. I hope it makes it until my order arrives.

That "play" in the shaft is necessary for it to start moving. Sort of lik e a hammer. It has to hit it to get the pin wheel moving because out motors have hardly any starting torque. But that will work as a fix till you get the new stuff.
