To catch a Damsel

Here is mine and it works like a champ.

Just go to petco or your local pet store. Look for a small container like the one pictured. Use fishing line to close the door to trap the fish. Use a mag float to hold it to the tank. Put some air line tube in the trap and the other half out of the tank. Use a syringe found at drug stores to give kids medicine. Put food into the trap through the tube and the fish will enter. You will catch more than the one you want but you will get him!

I used large pieces of acrylic to corner them and cornered him.

 

I left two of my nets sitting in the tank to desensitize the damsel to the nets. Then sprinkled some food in the corner of the tank and as soon as he went over i "clapped" him with the two nets. It took several tries over a period of 2 days, but it's still better than taking apart your tank.

 

K+ Brandon. I would NEVER recomend that damsels get use to start a tank.. I used chromis with both of my tanks and never had an issue.. Yeah I know, there are those out there that would argue that a chromis is a damsel as well.. however, I have never seen a thread on here that someone had a chromis harassing the tank.. Damsels are EVIL!
