I have recently set up a tank and it sits in a room that we are not heating at the moment. Question is, The rock is alive from another teardown and transfered over, but can the rock be harmed from sitting in cold water that is probably 60 -65 degrees? So does the tank need to be at temp to keep coraline algea alive or whatever may be on it?

The LR should be fine. The LFS I've been too just keep their LR in big tubs with just powerheads. As for the coraline, I dont know about that. It should start flourishing again once the tank is up.

Is there anything else on the lr that could be harmed, coraline will grow back pretty fast, but you don't want to kill off anything else on the rock, sponges, ect..

The only reason I ask is that you said that the rock comes from another tank that was taken down so if it was established you have a good chance of having other growth on the rock
