    hey guys, ive had my tank cycling for a little bit now and im starting to see some blooms of soft corals and some other little invertibretes

    can you help me identify/figure out wheter or not there good or bad

    ~i know this is a hard worm, i have a bunch more like it same color and everything, are they good or bad and can you have too many?

    1. zoanthids=good
    2. feather duster=good
    3. sponge=good, harmless filter feeder
    4. you are correct, good feather duster
    5. majano=BAD get rid of him
    6. aptasia=BAD get rid of him

    The last 2 pics look like aiptasia(kill em'). The first pic is some nice zoanthids. The 3rd pic is sponge. 2nd pic is hard to tell.

    mission i had an aiptasia in my FOWLR yesterday, now its gone will my fish eat it???

    The last two look like aptasia, the first one looks like button polyps, the feather duster look alike may just be a small feather duster tube worm, same thing with the hard tube things. And as for the growth not sure.

    Okay, all the feather dusters and hard worms are good. Great catch with those. Same goes with the polyp corals, an even better catch.
    I am not sure about the puss thing in pic #3, so I'll leave that to someone else.
    Pics 4 and 5 are aiptasia. Its a nuisance anemone and needs to be removed. Not catastrophic, but will take over your tank and sting corals given time. Easiest way is to get some joe's juice and hit them with that.

    There are only a select few fish that will eat them. Do you have any butterflies or peppermint shrimp?

    ummm but HOW do i go about doing this, scrape them off.... boiling water..
