To late to paint tank?

Beer? Sex? Whiskers on kittens? Raindrops on roses?

I have been thinking of doing this. Is it specific paint for the tank or just paint I could get at Lowes or HD?

 

Any old paint should be fine. If the tank has inhabitants, I'd roller it on instead of spray painting.

just be careful tht u dont mix the paint in the water.. it wolud all be a waste thn...

 

I am gonna do the same thing. Mine came painted sea foam green and I don't like it. I'm going black. My problem is I have to slide the tank out just a bit, maybe 6 more inches to get back there. And it weighs a ton. Even if I drain half the water out I don't think I can move it a few inches

 

A trick I learned many years ago for sticking backgrounds to tanks, rub a thin coat of vasaline on the tank and then stick the background to it. use a hard edge scraper to work out the air bubbles.
I have 2 tanks that the backgrounds have been stuck to in this manner for 10+ years now. If done right, the background becomes part of the display.
