I have a serious micro bubble problem while breaking in my Coralife 125 SS. Can these hurt my fish?

I guess there is a slight possibility of one getting trapped behind the eye and getting pop-eye. It's not something I would loose sleep over. It also might be a problem for any sponges.

Microbubbles can be breathed in and cause problems. Infections are the one to worry about obviously. The other problem is that they can get suck in the gills and cause problems breathing. My first puffer breathed in a lot of bubbles where he looked bloated, how ironic that his name was Bloat...
Anyhow, he had gotten so bad that I had to squeeze his belly a bit. He burped out bubbles and was ok after that. It may have been unrelated, but it was weird/funny to see.

I have heard the same about fish getting air stuck in there gills. Thats was one of the things we did when we were newbs. we thought fish needed an airstone, and my fish dude buddy told us to get it out cause the skimmer does it for us.

ROTFLMAO I guess most have never seen a set of waves breaking over a coral head or watch the Lenkia's stars and SPS and many Soft corals setting high and dry for a few hrs waiting for the tide to turn .. Other then many are bothered by the bubbles I have never seen nor actually found them to harm or kill anything ..

I had a 2" lock nut on my pumps inlet fitting flange to split a few weeks ago and it sucked and blew bubble like crazy its a 9,7001 hp Pump so you can guess at the amount of bubbles I was seeing for a week until the new flange arrived from Dolphin in Fl. only thing I noticed that was effected was a slight increase in the Ph . and the ORP reading ..
