to much epoxy

    after asking what everyone used for attasching colonies most everyone said epoxy so i got a tube i think it was coralife or instant ocean some thing like that specificly for aquarium safe for inverts coral ect, i attached 3 coralc to rock used almost the whole tube maybe that was to much ? today go down to tanks i just picked up an australian acro nice coral with ice blue tips look at it and i see what appears to be rtn skimmer is going crazy most everything else appears to be ok but maybe i used to much? does this stuff screw w/water quality? i got a water change going but wont b ready till tommorow am any ideas?

    The epoxy will make the skimmer go crazy for a while. I use just reg crazy glue gel to fasten frags in the tank. I just find it easier.

    Yeah, Go with the gel, you don't need that much either.

    The skimmer going crazy is an occasional occurance for me, but never used a full tub of any putty in 1 go

    the reverse has also been the case for me, in that skimmer stops producing when I used Aquamedic brand putty

    the new coral STN may or may not be related, it is often difficult to asses the reasons for these infections ( it may have had it when you got it and it has just been progressing)

    are you running carbon at all, if so now would be a good time to change it IMO

    not running any carbon maybe i should ? the new coral was imo perfect i tend to put new coral on the bottom and close to the front and look at them w, magnifiying glass i saw nothing even close to what is going on now but 60% of it seems to be allright just the top section of it will have to wait and see thanks for reply
