get a filter sock, especially for a FOWLR. I tried without one and it does much better with one, the drain will also be more quiet and hold back the micro bubbles

    Thanks for confirming.
I will try to slowly drill the hole bigger to see if it helps.

I am planning on getting a few filter socks, but I want to get this air bubble issue fixed first, once I do then I can determin what size socks to get in order to fit my drain pipes. I do have alot of crap starting to build up in my sump.

I sure hope to get this all figured out soon.

Thanks again for your help everyone.

Drill 3/16" holes...that way, you can add an air control valve if you go a bit too far. When I tune our Dursos, I literally stand there with a drill and make a hole, then I partially cover it with my finger to see if it's just a bit too much. If it is, I add a valve and adjust it. Otherwise, I drill another hole and repeat the process until the standpipe quiets down.

I have some with a single hole, and others with multiple holes (I think the most I have is one with 3, maybe 4 holes).

An easy way to add the air valve is to get a short (1") piece of rigid airline tubing, and shove it into the hole in the cap. Then take a short piece of airline with the valve on it and put it on the rigid airline "nipple" in the hole.

I had problems with dursos. I had gurgling, splashing, salt creep. I went with Herbie setup. Now it is quite, no gurgling no creep. Not saying your current plumbing is bad but you can research it and see if it is for you. I have 120 gallon aga dual overflows.

Hello everyone I finally got my sump to quiet down. I did not have to drill my durso. I just ended up adding a few elbows and a cap towards the top. This seemed to work really well.

Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions!
