to much light or ok

    i have a 72g bow tank is two 400w metal halides to much there 12'' from the tank

    IMO no. you have them really high up.

    Just be careful when acclimating corals to the tank, give them time. Low light fish might not come out except to feed.

    no i wouldnt bring them down. i would just leave them up high because a 400 watt metal halide is going to penetrate the water really deep.

    They are good for 36" deep tanks if I remember right.
