I used to have a stand like that for my 72 bowfront. Not sure if it used staples or not cause it was painted. I thought it looked kinda shady too, but I had it loaded with LR & corals & never had a problem with it. Here's a pic loaded on same stand with no extra bracing. [IMG]

WOW! Looks really nice. Makes me want to get mine set up even more now. What kind of lights are you using? Looks really white in the picture. Anyways! Guess since I got the wood might as well use it and yes! staples! I found it quite odd. I going to try and talk myself in to setting up the tank Sunday anyways!

Perhaps not needed, I added my support to the stand, with 3 in the back and 4 in the front my mind is much more at ease now and I am sure it can handle 100's of extra pounds, hahaha!!

Will the owner just left here and I had a talk with him and I have been giving the go ahead. So there is nothing stopping me now. I guess he actually did some looking in to the building structure and told me it would be OK. YES!

I believe we had MH's & PC's on that tank. It was a tank we had a few years ago. It held mostly mushrooms & cheap polyps. The urchin can be destructive lil guy with his spines moving things around. Good to hear the owner gave you the green light. I set me new tank up a week ago & had to take it down cause it started leaking the other day. Looks like I'm gettin a new tank now.
