    I've already got 3 Tangs in my 210 gallon tank. I've got a vlamangi thats about 12", a YE Kole thats about 5" and a Sailfin thats about 3.5".

    I'd love to add a Powder Brown Tang but am not sure if ;
    A. it will get along
    B. If i've already reached my Tang quota
    C. am scared that it will get Ich and infect my tank since Ich was in the tank once before.

    The 3 i've got now get along great. Any advice?

    Just make sure you quarantine it.

    To answer:
    A: Depends on the fish you have as individuals
    B You could handle a brown tang
    C. Ich is most likely in your system now. Only when fish are stressed or weakened from other means do they succumb to ich. Ich and Ich alone does not end a system by itself. Ich is to fish like influenza is to us.

    Thanks for your advice. It seems the Kole is the one who doesn't like any new additions to the tank. He made my Flasher Wrasse jump out of the tank and is harrassing a sandsifting Goby i just added 2 days ago.
    I've got a 29 gallon QT tank, and will QT him just as Oddy suggested. How long do you think it should be QT'd?

    I wouldn't quarantine a tang of any sort in a 29 gallon tank. It will most likely fall to stress. If your tank is healthy and the specimen is healthy I would go ahead and add him. Like said before, ich is present in most tanks. We just keep our fish healthy enough to ward it off.

    Well i'll be going to my LFS tomorrow to see if the PBT is still there. He was really healthy when i saw him a few days ago.
    My tank is really healthy also, so i don't see any issues. I'd just hate to add the PBT and have him get Ich and have the others get it. But as you said, since all the others are in good health they should remain so.

    +1. If anything, quarantine can add to the risk of a fish getting ich. You acclimate then add to the qt (stress), then have to turn around and acclimate then add to the dt (more stress).
