Well I had a ich outbreak in my tank awhile back. And transfered my fish to a ht for a copper treatment. I dosed for about a month and been doing constant water changes to keep the ammonia ites and ates out of the water and to get the copper out as well. My copper test kit is showing zero or u detectable copper in the water. I'm getting antsy and wanting to transfer my fish back to my DT. Its been fallow for 4 weeks now. Should I wait the full 8 weeks or transfer now.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Different strains of Cryptocaryon irritans live longer than others. You've gone this long I would be patient keep the course with the fallow tank. You're almost there and you made it through copper treatment so congrats, no small feat.

Thank you. I'm amazed at how well copper has worked with this parasite. When I first started I was a little iffy about copper and my fish looks like they were in a snow globe completely covered in white spots would barely move or eat and I thought for sure they would all die. But after about 2 weeks of copper and another 2 weeks slowly removing the copper with water changes my fish are eating like crazy and are back to them good old selves and have their personality back. I reccomend copper to anyone dealing with ich. Also a special thanks to 3 reef and all of its members for bing so helpful throughout this ordeal
