Toadstools are very easy, just put it half way-top of the the tank, in medium-high flow and dont bother it once you get it wear it is. And you may want to start running carbon since leathers can expel some nasty stuff into the water that can hurt a few certain corals.

And another thing, when they close and dont open for about a week or two, dont worry, it means its shedding and it will grow.

I actually just got one myself 2 days ago, it is very hardy from what I have seen. It opened within 10min of me putting it in, I have it in moderate light, moderate flow.

    heres a pic ;D

Keeping the MH or whatever you have for 6-8 hours is fine IMO. My MH sometimes stays on from 11am-2am(Due to me not having a timer and staying out past bedtime ;) ) But i would recommend about 6-8 hours for the best.

    Yes, i have $8 hahah!

I would do that, my LFS has timers, but my corals are growing outa control and the tank is doing great. they dont seem to mind the extra light. :D

Toadstool added two days ago, it's not extended it's polyps yet but they seem to be coming out more as time goes on. I have placed it near the top and it's getting medium flow. How long does it take normally to settle in? Pic attached:
