On the underside of this toadstool i have there is a brown discoloration, different from the vibrant white of the rest of it... it looks like some algae that i have growing on the walls of my tank, or is the coral itself turning this color? could i just rub it off?

p.s. would have posted a picture but i have terrible cameras and the toadstool is about the size of a penny

Its normal i think. My kenya has a white stock until about 2 inch to the actual kenya part haha, then its like got this brownish algae kinda. I have had this thing for a while so im pretty sure its harmless.

I have it on a few leathers and my toadstool. It doesn't appear to be a problem.
