I have a toadstool leather and he grew a little but he started bending to the right and im afraid that he will break... i took a picture but he is not fully open yet.. so when he does he is bent even more..

PS. i have my powerhead in my right back corner of my tank.. so its not that that my powerhead is pushing him, but the leather is bending towards the powerhead..

does this have to do anything with my powerhead?

Will it break? and what should i do?

    Please help me out :)

I don't think it will break. If it is bending to get more light, you could try a different place for it. What kind of lighting do you have?

hey john. id say nothing to worry about. mine does that all the time. then will right itself. as long as it looks healthy , youre gonna be fine.mine is on the substrate , and will bend to the left, right, forward. it was forward yesterday, today its tall and proud.

Two main reasons Toadstools do that is; they are going to shed and shut down for awhile or it may need more flow. The stronger flow helps them to stand erect. Mine actually gently sways and likes it.

They are so hardy you should be fine. Compared to my toadstools that one looks normal. I have one bending because an anemone is touching it and has been for months. During this time it has even somehow reproduced and I have mini toadstools growing right next to it.

i wouldnt worry about it snapping. they all get creases like that when their bent over. it will be fine. they go through these stages.

It won't snap, they're pretty rubbery. I just took pics of my two most bent ones. I can only upload one with this tapatalk so here is a big one and it was growing horizontal for a while and now bends up. By the way i got my toadstools from the lfs for next to nothing because they butchered them while trying to frag them and were in bad shape. Pic isn't that great because it's from the phone.
