I have had this toadstool for about 2 days. Compare the first pic from yesterday to today, the toadstool is on the highest part of the rock:
    Yesterday - [IMG]
    Today - [IMG]

There were lots of polyps before which was all gone now. The coral is also closing its 'fingers' when I turned on the light. There was slightly waxy appearance on its skin.

The question is, is it shedding? How long will it be in this stage? Will the greenish polyps reappear?

    Thank you.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would move the corals down and increase flow to the coral significantly.

Having no idea the level of intensity to your LED, but it's probably safe to say the coral needs to be acclimated to the lighting. The coral looks like a Figi yellow that does require intense lighting but it still should be acclimated.

In a newly set up tank as yours I would expect to see some acclimation difficulties. While ammonia and nitrites my be undetectable, this is a nano and they are prone to dramatic shifts in water chemistry and stability for a couple months.

+1, although it looks like a green toadstool on my monitor. What lights are those? LEDs are very directional, so, looks like a lot all pointed at the same spot. Generally, I would keep toadstools lower too, just because as they grow, they will shade anything below them out.

+1 on keeping it so high, whenever you get new corals, you should start them off on the sandbed to light acclimate them

So I did lighting acclimate as suggested, now the toadstool start opening - very slowly. I am not very sure, but looks like the goby helps too.

If you see the middle part of the image where my colt is, one of the branch has been closed too for 2 days.

Finally! It took 1 week to grow the polyp back! Notice the still a bit of green slime algae on its skin, lots of old skin layers peeled off too...

Quick question regarding to toadstool leather coral:
Is it normal for the feathery pinnules (the leaf-like edge of the coral base) to close so much during the daylight? I read somewhere that its purpose is to sieve the water for nutrients?
