Hi all, My leather toadstool mushroom has keeled over to the side almost at 90 degrees. The base is attached firmly and everything else is OK. It was vertical yesterday, do i need to worry or is this normal

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    It may need more flow.

    Are the polyps open?

Is the steam still intact or does it look like it's melting or being chomped on?

The stem looks really good and all polyps are open as you can see in pic

Looks pretty good. If you can increase the flow to it.

The excellent thing about Toad Stools is you can just chop off the top and let it re-attach.

I would, then give it a couple days and you should see some results.

Seems like many hobbyist underestimate how much flow Sacrophyton actually need.

Increased flow prevents the build up of detritus and algae on the surface and the stem.

Mine did that several times over the past two weeks. Not sure what the issue was but it had good flow and had been in the same location for 6 months with no problems. I rotated his rock and moved him about 3 inches and he is back to normal. I have to remember that this is an animal with behaviors that i do not fully understand! I assume that it was being irritated by something but i have no idea what it was!!

Yeah that sounds fair to me. I have only had this one for two or three days, first day was upright, decent flow to it, got up in the morning and itwas on its side. The main thin is it looks healthy think i will just leave it to its own devices
