Toadstool not liking MH?

I got my 150w MH fixture in 2 days ago. and started at 2 hours and ramped up +2 hours each day. (to fast?) and since putting on the MH my leather hasnt opened up...... granted hes kinda high in the tank. Is he getting to much light? is that even possible?

 

Im not familiar with MH, but that sounds too quick to ramp up the lights. can you move the toadstool down in the tank or put it in a shaded area?

 

Well which would be worse. lowering the lighting each day or moving him?

 

well if it was happy where it was before and you liked where it was at then i wouldnt move it and i would just mess with the lights them self. You could maybe to a mesh screen to block out some of the light.

 

What about moving the light up? how high is it from the surface?

I think your gonna have to move the stool, or move the lights.
