Toallhisdooms 7.5 gal cube build

Last week i did about a 50% WC from my main tank. Added a 50w jager heater, and live rock from my main tank.

Ordered yasha goby and randals pistol shrimp last night, along with mandarin dragonet and GBTA for the 75gal from reefs2go.com

Still need a light, and a lid! Will get pics of aquascape tonight, along with the goby and shrimp pics tomorrow if i can catch a pic of them!

 

sorry shipping today for tomorrow delivery! threw a snail in just to make sure there was never any copper used in the tank, he lived the night. So hopefully tank is good to go!

Did aquascaping last night, and a 3gal wc also.

 

Have you tested your parameters? Just my two cents but if a snail lives doesn't mean your cycle is necessarily complete.

 

Well it has been going since 10/19 with water and live rock from my 75gal. So i am thinking it never even had a cycle. Changed the piece of live rock i had in it out with a diff piece from the 75 that i broke up last night to make a nice aquascape.

And when i do WCs i just bring water from my 75 to the 7.5. Will you fresh made salt once i have fish and corals in it. Just doing that for now to bring over some stuff to help with cycle, or lack there of cycle.

But yes i am going to test the params tonight anyways just to be sure!

 

Quick pick of the aquascape. Snails still alive. And tons of pods(took rock from sump)

Thanks! I might add more rock, kinda want to build it up a little more.

But ammonia nitrate and nitrite are all 0!

Hey, if you are looking to add SPS I would get different sand or take most of it out. I have the same sand (from what it looks like) in my BC and it's annoying. It blows all over the place, I plan to swap sand down the road.

LOVE this build so far, everything looks nicely done.

 

Nooo this sand is amazing! Does not blow around at all! Thanks! I am liking it to. Just need to get a light and a glass top for it.
