Ok, I live in Massachusetts and a HEAT wave has hit us. At my house at 1:30 was 97 degrees outside. Inside it's 74 degrees and my tank water temp is 78 degrees. How are others fairing out. Other parts of CT, RI, MA, & NH are suppost to hit 105. That's crazy!

CJ, it was 103 yesterday. I keep my a/c at 78 degrees. I've placed an 18" ocillating fan blowing into my sump within the tank stand (90g tank) with the doors open. I also bought a 6" clip on fan and placed it blowing over the water on top of the tank. The highest temp I've recorded was 80.4 degrees at mid-photo period; 2-150's & pc's. Well after lights out, temp drops to 77.8 degrees & the small fans gets turned off. With a controller, this'll become easier & more economical to control.

Both fans, 38 bucks @ WalMart. If you decide to go this way, make sure you leave doors open to allow humidity to dissipate away from the tank area.

    Good Luck!!

Other than being in TX and needing a cool wave to hit those kind of temps in July ;), the temp outside, inside, and in tank are all same as you today... weird.

It's been wicked hot for days here in WI. To top the heat off, it's been very humid as well.

I have had the AC on 3 days in a row, even at night.

I'm glad my tank is in the basement. It has not budged from its normal temp.

Just got home from work and mines at 84. Everything looks fine but the Hammer is about a third the size and the GSP don't look too thrilled. Just turned on the AC and added a clip on fan.
