Good thing you have the 180 in the works. That tank is getting crowded!

sooo pretty Todd!! Are you taking some nostalgic pics? :) Hey, quick question....did I see where you use phosguard on your tank? You have such awesome growth - I was beginning to wonder if my tank's lack of growth could be due to phosguard but if you're using it, I don't think that's my culprit.

Yes, I agree with that. The 180 is gong to look pretty full as well I think, solely from the transfer.
My goal is to have no rock touching the back wall at all, so they can swim back there too. I hypothesize that the fish would feel more area if they could swim 'around' the structures also. My theory anyway, we'll see how it goes.

I do use Phosguard Mindy, however I don't add any very often at all, and rarely actually remove any.
I used to have it in a DIY reactor in the sump.
NOw it's only in a mesh back in my overflow.
My theory is also that all these types of products should be used very sparingly- in smaller than recommended amounts.
    my theory ;-)

Todd - Did you know that you can't grow corals under blue and white LED's?!

I do love the variety of life in your tank though in all seriousness. Although that it is a good thing you are upgrading; your fish need the extra 6" of swimming room!

Is that Sarcasm Marshall, the blue and white thing?;-)

That'll be 6 cubic ft of more room, if my calculations are correct.

    Yes, it was sarcasm ;)

    Actually, ~7.5 additional CF (125: 6'x1.5'x1.833'=16.5CF; 180: 6'x2'x2'=24CF). Or another way to look at it is 180-125=55 gallons. 55 gallons / 7.48 gal/CF = 7.35CF.

    So I just found you 1.5CF :)

Yes it is! See here just to not clutter up Todd's thread: http://www.3reef.com/forums/show-of...iamond-tail-flasher-148753-4.html#post1515193

Thank you sir! Notice my tank is lit by two blue and white LED fixtures, and one "full spectrum" fixture (I swapped out one b&w for the full spectrum one I had from reefbreeders). My 55 was lit by just blue and white as well. I just see so many say that you flat out can't grow corals (especially SPS) successfully under those lights. So your tank is a great example that you can :)

Keep up the good work and get that 180 setup!
