Sounds like you got lucky. Just make sure it's not the bleach bottle next time!!!

 

I am VERY VERY lucky. Everyone is OK and doing well. All chemicals are on top of our kitchen cabinets so even we have to get a ladder to get them down.

 

I have two children. Both are very bright, but only one of them was really, really good with locks. The other was completely disinterested. If it was hard to get into, it wasn't worth the effort to figure out.....on to something else. But my boy was different......If I gave him a challenge like that, he thwarted me in no time flat.

Honestly, I would endeavor to figure out a small canopy system with a padlock. I was fortunate that my kids were five and eight when I got into this hobby full bore. They are old enough to talk to. A 2 year old will just look at you.....nod.....say OK.....and drop more stuff in your tank. Next it will be pennies.....can you say copper poisoning?

Good luck brother....I know you are doing your best to keep your kids safe. Stuff like this just plain happens.

 

OMGosh I never thought of the pennies!!!! I'm going to find all the pennies while cleaning today!!! I just leave them laying around and don't think anything of it.. Oh geese...

I think I'm going to need to get on Xanax.....LOL
