The white back really cleans up the plumbing going down, very nice! As I said on WRS, I really really dig the idea of having your kids paint the backing, I can't wait to see the finished product!! I think I might try and do something similar somehow, I just really like the idea of adding a family touch to the tank.

If you want, I can come by and try and take some good pictures with my DSLR. Next week, I'm a bachelor, so let's try and set something up after work. Let me know if you want to do that.

I always have black backgrounds but wondered what white would look like. Looks good to me man! Let me know if it's any harder to keep clean looking, that's the only reason I didn't try it. Although I keep the back glass squeeky clean and I know you let the coralline build up. Gunna scrape it down or let it roll?

He's going to let his kids paint it and then put it back on. That's the impression I got from his post. I can't wait to see the results!
With the new scape, he can get back there to scrape and keep it clean enough that the artwork won't get covered up. At least that's my thoughts.

    Thanks everyone!
Yes, now I can keep the back glass clean, and probably will thry that.

    I'm really frustrated today- not at my DT/system, or family;

My Dern Photobucket app. I use the free one and it's been working GREAT until this morning.
I tried deleting that app and reloading- WORSE.
Then, I read the reviews- and everyone of them is asking them to fix the app.

Anyone know how I can get the older version back on my Iphone4?

Lucky you, no more pics for awhile anyways

DT has now been up for 7 days:

My 3 tangs seem to be getting along pretty well!
Each of them will 'stike a pose' at times by raising the Dorsal fin, and gently backing up at the other fish, but it's rare and gentle and it's only been about 2 days.

Things in the tank seem to be settling down, everhyone has been eating and the corals are looking good.
I turned my lights up more yesterday also.

I'm really loving my new volume, I basically doubled it.
My best estimates are I went from about 130g total water volume,
    to about 260g!

I'm still running my same skimmer also. Several reefers thought I'd now need a bigger skimmer,
but when you think about it, a doubled the WV, and kept the same livestock/rocks, etc.
My SC150, now renamed the SCA 302 is still working great! Pulling nice skim everyday, seems to keep up just fine.
I'm staying with it until things change.

Im also dosing the same amount of Kalwasser- cause my uptake didn't double, only the WV did.
My Alk yesterday was 10- usually runs 7-8. I"m thinking that was from all the new SW I added.
It seems correct by doubling my WC, I'll now use Ca/Alk at about half the previous rate, which is essentially the same rate of use, just a larger resevoir to pull it from, so I'll keep dosing like I was and check every week or so.
So far the first week- it's all good.

I'm trying to keep the overflow clean and the glass clean too.
I pretty much know that eventually my C2C overflow will get an algae film on it that I can't take off very easy, but for now it's pretty clean.
I'm loving how quiet it is too!
