So this did absolutely nothing to tone down my jealousy over your tank. What are you using to take your pictures with....even they are good!

I use only my Iphone4, no editing apps.
Thanks, Even after trying to get it just right,
Actually, I think it take cruddy pictures.
The blues are always too washed out blue, and the brighter spots show up as bright white!

    But thanks again

Maybe i need to stop asking you questions because every time I do you post a pic. Then i swing back and forth between motivation and depression!! Im going to try for the motivation and seal the 220 today and start thinking of the stand. I believe i have decided to put the tank in my office and do a fish room below similar to your set up. Do you have a dedicated electric line to your room? Any idea how many amps all your equipment uses?

    D man, thanks, I think? J/K

I'd post pics whether you asked or not- ask away.
My system is one of the simpliest around, especially for it's size. As in- no controller, don't use GFO, Biopellets, no Ca reactor, oh yea, did I say no controller? He he
That area of my basement, in the 'non- finished area' already had a light over head that I spliced into, and it's own seperate electirc outlet. I run just about everything except the overhead lights for the area off the one circuit.
I did convert it to GFCI myself however.
Not sure of the amps, I think it's maybe 30 though?
As far as total usage goes- not even sure- but it has to be really low for my DT and sump size b/c I use a
DC return pump; 2 x DC intank power heads; 3x LED's over the diplay, and 2 x CFL bulbs over my chaeto.
I do use an Atman 2500 for my skimmer, and 1 x standard 300W heater that doesn't come on much.

Good to know. I am going to have to run a line but a 30 amp breaker should do it i think. I don't use any controller on my current tank and do not plan on one for this build either.

I attended the '2014 Fragstock Wisconsin' Frag meet today!

What an awesome time, venders, merchandise, livestock, etc.
I know many of the people there, and it was a great time.
    So, the admission is free.
So, they have several wonderful raffles. Also free. No, you can't by more tickets and increase your chances.
I cam one # form winning an new APEX system! one number! Out of maybe a 200 people max maybe?
Oh well, I did win a $20 gift certificate in the 'losers' raffle, and with that I got a

    Scallop!

Some scarlet hermits, and some realy cool looking Snails with a kind of marbled white shell.

All in all, a great time

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It's impressive Todd. Really beautiful. Looks really established with big colonies and fish for how young the tank really is., well done.

    Thanks Cheryl,
Yep, about 10 weeks, but as we all know, almost all of this came from my 3yr old 125 so it made it kinda easy.
I'm really liking my ~100g sump volume, and about doubling my chaeto mass also- I feel that is one of the key components to my reef- well that and belonging to 3Reef! ;-)
